L1 application help for Woodstock landlords
Woodstock landlords may deal with rent arrears in apartments, houses, duplexes, townhouses, or secondary suites. The file may start with a missed payment and a promise to catch up, but eventually the landlord may need an L1 Application for non-payment of rent.
The N4 should be reviewed before filing. It should name the right tenants, identify the rental unit, list rent arrears only, and use the correct termination date. If later payments are made, the balance should be updated.
Building the Woodstock rent record
The landlord should prepare a ledger showing rent charged, payments received, and the balance owing. E-transfer records, receipts, messages, and bank proof should be organized so they match the ledger. If the tenant disputes the amount, the landlord can then explain the file clearly.
Repair records should also be ready if the tenant has raised maintenance concerns. If other issues exist, such as damage or interference, they may need a separate Core LTB Applications review.
Review the Woodstock file
If you are a Woodstock landlord dealing with unpaid rent, an N4 notice, partial payments, or an upcoming hearing, we can review the documents and help prepare the next step.
